- Ramy Filo, chairman of ATHOC, unanimously re-elected to second term as GATE Chairman for 2008-2010 in meeting of 9 April 2008.
- ARDA President Howard Nusbaum announced that the ARDA International Foundation will be working with GATE members over the next two years to conduct a basic study on the status of the worldwide timeshare industry. Nusbaum noted that no global studies have been published since 2002 and there has been substantial growth in the industry throughout the world during the last five years which has not been quantified.
